5 (Free) Things: Grand Army Plaza Menorah Lighting, Open Mic, Trivia, Stand-Up, Q-Train Delays, More

Prospect Heights-area subway, alternate side and event information you won't want to miss.

1. You need a night out. Tonight there are a ton of options just a few blocks from your house including , ,  and . 

2. You need latkes. They're giving them out for free at the . Chabad puts on this annual event, which also includes music, dancing and, tonight only, a juggling show. 6 p.m. Free. 

3. You need to get the kids out of the house. No kiddie events at the Central Library this week, but the Pacific Library is still holding , where kids 18 to 36 months enjoy stories, rhymes and songs. 25 4th Ave. at Pacific St. 10:30 a.m. Free. 4. You need to know if your train is running ... Between 11:50 p.m. and 5 a.m. weeknights through Dec. 30trains are running every 30 minutes between Atlantic Avenue and Stillwell Avenue. Brooklyn-bound trains will drop you at Pacific and you will have to walk to Atlantic and wait for the next leg (the reverse Manhattan-bound), according to the MTA. Bring a book, the wait can be pretty long. 

5. ... And if you have to move your car. You do. Alternate side won't be suspended again until Dec. 25-26 for Christmas, according to the NYCDOT.
