5 Things: No Q Train, Free Jazz, 19th Century Tours and Games, More
Prospect Heights-area information and events you won't want to miss.
1. You need to get to the park. It's supposed to get into the '60s today so head to the , which combines birdwatching, park history and interesting tidbits about some of the park's animal inhabitants. 3 p.m. Meet at the Audubon Center, Lincoln Road and Ocean Ave., Free.

3. You need to get the kids out of the house. The park is also a great place to take the kids today, and there are activities all afternoon at Lefferts House including Second Floor Tours, Winter on a Flatbush Farm, Handiwork: Tasks and Crafts from the Past and a Quilt Workshop. 4. You need to know if your train is running ... Unfortunately probably not. All weekend there are no Q trains between Prospect Park and 57th Street: walk or take a shuttle to Atlantic Ave. for the N or R. There are also no No. 2 trains between Brooklyn and Manhattan. Take the No. 5 or R trains to nearby stations instead. Finally, Manhattan-bound No. 4 and 5 trains skip Eastern Parkway, Grand Army Plaza and Bergen Street, for more information see the MTA website.
5. ... And if you have to move your car. Not today of couse, but keep your eyes open for a Tuesday/Friday spot because alternate side won't be suspended again until Thursday, Dec. 8, according to the NYCDOT.
