5 Things: Free Mammograms and FasTrack Subway Changes

Prospect Heights-area subway, alternate side and event information you won't want to miss.

1. You really need to get that mammogram. You're in luck, because today there are  at the Crown Heights Community Meditation Center. 265 Kingston Ave., 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free.

2. You need to support our youth. Head to Launchpad for , a hip hop show put on by NYC's at-risk teens through the organiation Hip Hop Pedagogy. 721 Franklin Ave. bet. Park and Sterling, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Free.

3. You need to get the kids out of the house. If you have kids betwen the ages of 5 and 12, bring them to ., for  a weekly drop-off class is open to newcomers and enrolled students. 524 Bergen St. bet. Carlton and Sixth, 5-6 p.m. free. Have younger kids? There are a ton of sing-alongs and other toddler/preschooler happenings today. See our  for more options. 

4. You need to know if your train is running ... Daytime, yes. After 10 p.m., maybe not. , with service shutting down completely between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. for track repair. However, 3 trains will be extended to New Lots during that time. For more information see the MTA site.   

5. And if you have to move your car ... Alternate side parking rules are in effect today—the next suspension won't be until Wednesday, July 4, according to the NYCDOT
