Registration Open for Free Kids Songwriting Circles at Grand Army Plaza

Kids 7-12 are invited to join Free Spirits Music's kids songwriting circles in Prospect Park. Best part: they're totally free (but please RSVP)! Register Here: http://freespiritsmusic.com/tween-songwriting-circles-prospect-park/ In our 1-hour sessions, kids will work with our staff of professional musicians to collectively write one original song based of musical skills. Beginner guitarists are welcome to bring guitars to learn simple chord progressions, while more advanced guitarists will learn scales and lead guitar parts. Kid singers will start to sing with confidence, power, and proper technique. All your child needs to bring is an open mind and an interest in music - nothing more. This is a fun, supportive circle for all levels of musical talent, including beginners. Location: Classes will meet on the Long Meadow just past the entrance of Prospect Park at Grand Army Plaza. Look for the teachers with guitars and blankets laid out! All classes are weather-permitting. We're not going to be making music in the rain! Please be sure to RSVP so we can email you the rain location just a few blocks away. Dates: Saturdays June 29, July 13, and July 27 at 11 a.m. Price: Totally free! Register Here: http://freespiritsmusic.com/tween-songwriting-circles-prospect-park/ Free Spirits Music is a small grassroots organization aiming to inspire young artists to uplift and unearth their own creative process through the vehicle of music. FSM offers a 12-week after-school songwriting program for kids to learn guitar, write songs, develop vocal technique, and play a rock show.
