Brooklyn Ice Skating Celebration March 24th at new LeFrak Center, Lakeside, Prospect Park to Benefit Brooklyn Ice

   Brooklyn Ice is thrilled to announce the Brooklyn Ice Skating Celebration on March 24th, 6-9 pm.

Brooklyn Ice’s Skating Celebration and party will include exhibition performances by NYC’s synchro skating team The Skyliners, principal performers from Ice Theatre of New York, and special guests.

The Brooklyn community is invited to attend and skate with us at the new rinks at LeFrak Center, Lakeside, Prospect Park.  The $25.00 donation includes 2+ hours of skating, skate rental (or bring your own), hot chocolate and lots more.  Food will be available for purchase.  Tickets are available via eventbrite: http://brooklynicecelebration.eventbrite.com

Each year the Brooklyn Ice season closes with a celebratory ice show and party which recognizes the hard work of the students.  “This year, in celebration of our return to (the) Prospect Park ice skating rinks, we’re inviting the whole community to skate with us, and share the joy with our Brooklyn Ice students”, said Executive Director Violet Eagan.

The Brooklyn Ice Winter 2014 program which includes figure skating lessons at the new Rinks at LeFrak Center, Lakeside, Prospect Park twice a week concludes on March 24.  The after-school program uses the United States Figure Skating Association (USFS) basic skills program and includes homework help, educational activities (journal writing), social responsibility activities, pilates/dance and workshops on nutrition, college readiness and lots more.  The program is headed by PSA Master-rated figure skating coach, Violet Eagan. Brooklyn Ice is the only free figure skating program in New York City.
