Washington Avenue Then & Now

This Saturday, August 18th is the “WASH AVE ROCKS!” Street Fair on Washington Avenue between Prospect Place and St. Marks. The theme of this year’s fair is“Washington Avenue Then and Now” and it looks to be an amazing event, but we need your help! We all know the adage that it takes a village and for generations Washington Avenue has served the Prospect Heights and Crown Heights area and the Washington Avenue Prospect Heights Merchants Association would love any photos from the 1930’s, 40’s 50’s 60’s 70’s 80’s, 90’s of Washington Avenue and the surrounding blocks (Lincoln, St. Johns, Sterling, Prospect Pl, Park, St. Marks, Eastern Pkwy, Classon, Dean, Pacific...etc.) to include in a historical photo montage, a tall kiosk of photo’s from the “nabe”. Please come with copies of your photos and post them on the cylinder with push pins or add your memories with words.  THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ON SATURDAY!
