Volunteer with Heifer International in Brooklyn to end Hunger and Poverty!

Heifer International works to end world hunger and poverty in a way that cares for the Earth by providing sustainable gifts of livestock and agricultural training to people struggling for food and income.

Heifer’s Brooklyn volunteer group is looking for motivated volunteers who can help promote Heifer’s free global education resources in local congregations and schools. Volunteering can be as easy as talking to your child’s teacher or principal about Heifer’s innovative Read to Feed program, a program that promotes reading in schools through the act of getting sponsorships to buy animals for families in need. Or, how about helping to set up a living gift market, a gift-giving alternative market where animals can be purchased to help families become self-sufficient, in a local congregation?
