PLAY GIRLS SOFTBALL THIS FALL -- Ages 9-17!
The SBBL's Fall Girls Softball League is extremely proud to announce its third season this fall. Every year we get bigger and better! Last year we had 250+ girls playing -- and this year we would love to have YOU join us!
The season will run September 8-October 28, with all games played Friday nights or on the weekend. There will be 8-10 games. All games will be played at DiMattina Field (in Carroll Gardens), though games can be scheduled on another organization's field if they have a permit.
We have teams from Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens, and this year I have also received interest from Staten Island (from one of the top high school teams in the city), so slowly we are making this league a citywide forum for girls to play softball in the fall.
Be a part of it!
The age divisions are 10U, 12U, 14U, and 17U. In addition to younger girls, we also welcome girls/teams playing for their middle schools or high schools. It's a great way to sharpen skills and develop new talent.
Individual players can sign up for just $100 for the entire season (which includes the uniform), and we will assign them to a team. We honor all requests for players to play together--so tell your friends!
Organizations can also enter an entire team for just $400 - which includes all umpire fees. That works out to toughly $25-$30 per player on most teams. How can you beat that cost for an entire season of competitive softball? So if your spring team, or school team, is looking for more action, come play with us this fall.
The deadline to register is August 22, so that we can start scheduling. But if you're still pulling it together then, let us know and we'll see what we can do. We're very flexible.
