"On Sunday night, a local family's house . Fortunately, the entire family was not harmed but they lost all their belongings in the blaze. The Fatihi family's three children go to PS 9 and Hanane (the mom) is also one of our caregivers for the After School Program.
"Several parents are reaching out to the community asking for donations and gift cards to help the family.
"If you're able to make any kind of monetary donation, please drop it off at (80 Underhill Avenue between St. Mark's and Bergen) in the main office in the designated PTO lock box. Please mark the envelope that this is a donation for the Faitihi family. If you're unable to get to the school, please contact me directly and we can coordinate a pick up. Once the family has found permanent housing, we'll put a call out for supplies.
