Lynn Messina, author of The Girls’ Guide to Dating Zombies, teams up with Brooklyn’s own One Girl Cookies to offer a free whoopie pie with proof of purchase of Messina’s zombie chick lit novel.
The offer is good from October 29 to October 31 and is valid at One Girl Cookies locations in Cobble Hill and Dumbo. Customers must show a valid receipt for The Girls’ Guide to Dating Zombies; printed receipts and digital receipts displayed on a laptop, tablet or smartphone will be accepted. The offer is limited to one whoopie pie per receipt and is available while supplies last.
“I wanted to do this because I can think of no better way to celebrate Halloween than with the best treat of all: a One Girl Cookies whoopie pie,” says Messina. “Plus, the Girls’ Guide is all about having a healthy relationship with a zombie, so I thought the offer would be a great opportunity for me to come up lots of zombies-make-whoopie tweets.”
David Crofton, co-owner of One Girl Cookie, adds, "Zombies and whoopie pies naturally go together. After all those sin-infested bodies, what zombie wouldn't want a soul-nourishing whoopie pie?"
One Girl Cookies whoopie pies have been described by Martha Stewart as “a flavorful and crowd-pleasing party treat” and are featured in Crofton and co-owner Dawn Casale’s new cookbook, One Girl Cookies: Recipes for Cakes, Cupcakes, Whoopie Pies, and Cookies from Brooklyn's Beloved Bakery.
One Girl Cookies in Cobble Hill is located at 64 Dean Street between Smith Street and Boerum Place.
One Girl Cookies in Dumbo is located at 33 Main Street at the corner of Water Street.
