Our wonderful babysitter Ivy is available for part-time or full-time work. Ivy has been with us since our daughter was 6 weeks old, and she's a trusted and much beloved member of the family. Ivy is completely reliable, never calling in sick (well, twice in 4 years), never late, always helpful and accommodating to our changing schedule. She and our daughter are very close, Ivy is truly loving, kind, and has the same progressive ideas about child rearing as we do (though if she didn't she would never go against our wishes). I respect and trust her values.
Ivy is energetic and playful, at the ready to play, run, swing, jump, sit on the floor and tell or read stories (she’s got great stories). She's always taking our daughter on outings to the zoo, library, Natural History Museum, Children's Art Museum, Coney Island, etc, and often arranges play dates with other lovely kids.
She is very experienced and has worked with children of all ages, starting when they were newborns and staying with them until school age. She's been at all of her previous jobs for at least 3, 4, or 5 years. No one wants to see her go! Our family included.
But now that our daughter is in pre-K, we are trying to help Ivy find a new family to work for, either full time (starting in January) or part time (Monday - Friday from 9 to 2).
