Adopt Buster

Buster the cat was abandoned to survive on the streets fighting cats that were bigger, tougher and meaner than he, and he’s got the battle-scars to prove it. But all he really wants is to curl up in your lap in your warm, peaceful home.

Buster is three or four years old and has been on the streets for maybe a couple of years. When he was rescued he had a split tongue, slashes on his nose, wounds all over his body, and a quarter of a testicle missing (it’s all gone now that he’s been neutered). He has permanent scar tissue on the side of his face.

Now that he’s cleaned up and looking much better, Buster is ready to retire from the streets. Beneath this tough street cat is a gentle soul, mellow, calm and affectionate, who enjoys having his ears scratched and his belly rubbed. He is an adorable, black and white tuxedo with all white back legs, a white tip to his tail, and beautiful green eyes.

Now that he’s neutered he will likely no longer have a reason to fight with other cats and probably would enjoy cat companions, but he would also be good as an only cat.

Buster is neutered, vaccinated, FIV/FeLV negative and healthy. If you can make a place in your home for this sweet survivor email honeywood5@yahoo.com. A short application, brief home visit, and modest adoption fee will be required. (Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition, www.bbawc.org)
