We will be screening “Undressing Israel: Gay Men in The Promised Land”

Refreshments at 7 pm, Presentation/screening at 7:30 pm, 3rd Floor

Union Temple honors Gay Pride 2013 with our June movie night featured screening of the 2013 documentary film Undressing Israel—Gay Men in the Promised Land, presented by the film’s director, actor and producer Michael Lucas.

Undressing Israel is Michael Lucas’ first documentary film, featuring interviews with a cross-section of gay Israel--a gay member of Israel’s parliament, a trainer who served openly in the army, a young Arab-Israeli journalist, a pair of dads raising their kids, and a view of Tel Aviv’s vibrant nightlife scene and a same-sex wedding—in this pioneering country of gay equality. The award winning Lucas also is a regular op-ed contributor to publications such as The Advocate, The Huffington Post, and Pink News, where his uncompromising convictions make him a provocative figure in the gay media world.

This is a program not to be missed! Please make sure to RSVP at uniontemple@uniontemple.org to the Temple office to secure your first come, first served attendance (no charge)!
