BEAT Festival Kicks Off Today

Tonight is opening night of the BEAT Festival at Brooklyn Museum.

BEAT Brooklyn is a celebration of all things performance art, music and dance. With venues in Prospect Heights, Bed-Stuy, Downtown Brooklyn and Park Slope, you'll never be far from something going on for the length of the festival, which ends Sept. 21.

Alternate side parking is in effect today, so make sure you move your cars.

There is some heavy rain possible tonight, with thunderstorms, so be on the lookout, and make sure the windows are shut tight.

Got something else going on? Let us know in the comments.
