Prospect Heights Patch will be an invaluable news and information source for the neighborhood. We'll be here seven days a week, reporting on the latest restaurant openings, new real estate developments, local politics and everything else.

LISTINGS

Planning an important shopping excursion? This is where you'll find everything to know about the businesses that are right around the corner. We'll give you their addresses, phone numbers, hours of operation and even maps to show you how toget there.

EVENTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Want to know which coffee shops and book stores in the neighborhood regularly hold book readings, or when the next exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum is set to open? Then check our daily Events section. From community board meetings to charity car washes and volunteer opportunities, this is where you'll find out what's going on in the neighborhood.

We invite you to be a part of Patch and upload your events right to the Web site as well. And we alsowant to hear about the important happenings going on in your life.  If you're getting married, graduated, won an award or honor, place it in our Announcement section. You can honor a loved one with an obituary there as well.

NEWS

Our news section, which will be updated seven days a week, is divided into several categories. We'll report on the local elementary, junior high and high schools in our area. You can find out more about major developments such as Atlantic Yards as well as neighborhood-based entrepreneurs in our business section.

We'll cover Brooklyn's thriving literary and visual arts scene in our Arts section. And well give a platform to both local political representatives and area residents in our Opinion section. We'll also cover city-wide and borough-wide political issues that affect our neighborhood and any crime or fires that occur in our Government and Police & Fire sections.

Prospect Heights Patch isn't just about telling you about what's going on in the neighborhood. We want to hear from you as well. We want your comments, opinions, announcements and ideas.
