Prospect Heights' Dating Scene 'Chiller' Than Williamsburg

Enjoying the freedom of your single life? You're not alone, at least in Prospect Heights, says a new report.

A newly released census study says that more Brooklynites are choosing money over love, even in areas with a large single population, says the Daily News.

North Crown Heights/Prospect Heights (as they called it) has the fifth largest population of single women in the city, but according to the report, they’re not fawning over diamond rings, and instead focusing on their careers.

Prospect Heights resident Ellen Adams, 24, told the News that she “enjoying being single,” and that she’d rather spend her time working on her writing career. In fact, Adams was interviewed while working on her novel at Sit & Wonder, on Washington Avenue.

And while Williamsburg, Greenpoint and Bushwick were evenly matched up as far as the number of single guys and gals go, as the report says, Adams said she prefers the laid-back atmosphere of Prospect Heights.

“There is way more dating in Williamsburg. Prospect Heights is way more chiller,” she told the News.

But remember, if you’re single in Prospect Heights are you are on the lookout for love, your soul mate definitely lives in Bed-Stuy (well, maybe!).
