PeteZaaz Up for Time Out's 'Best Pizza' Award
The pizza shop in Crown Heights, known for their unique toppings, is up against three other restaurants for the title of "Best New Pizza."
Classon Avenue’s PeteZaaz, known for their inventive pies and slices, is up for the title of “Best New Pizza” in Time Out Magazine’s Food and Drink Awards.
The pizza shop, , has garnered some hungry attention for their unique creations, like a General Tso’s topped pie, and the “cold fried chicken” pizza.
Helmed by former No. 7 sous chef Pete Entner, their pie menu is inspired by sister shop No. 7 Sub’s inventive sandwich offerings – a roasted cauliflower sub topped with potato chips, scallions, raisins, and smoked French dressing, for example.

“We’re going to incorporate a lot of culture—different ethnic foods—it’s going to be fun,” Entner told Patch in December.
PeteZaaz is up against Basil Brick Oven Pizza in Queens, Forcella in the East Village, and Wild Rise in DUMBO. Pizza fans can vote for their favorite here.
