UPDATE: Murder-Suicide in Windsor Terrace

UPDATE 12:20 p.m: The New York City Police Department has confirmed that both Margaret "Peggy" Delaney, 57,  was found earlier this morning with stab wounds to the eye and abdomen and Raymond Delaney, in his 50s,  suffered two stab woulds to the throat. Both were taken to Methodist Hospital. Margaret Delaney was pronounced dead on arrival, Raymond is in critical condition. Their son, Ryan Delaney, 31, who police confirmed was struck by a G train at the 15th and Prospect Park West Station, is in serious but stable condition.

UPDATE 11:58 a.m.: A neighbor at 15 Howard Place confirmed the name of Ryan Delaney, who earlier this morning fatally stabbed his mother, Margaret "Peggy" Delaney and father, Raymond Delaney.

The neighbor also confirmed that the son struggled with mental illness, possibly suffering from schizophrenia and ADHD.

"This is a tragedy, we are all shaken by it," said the neighbor. "We watched [Margaret] struggle with him for years."

According to the neighbor, another neighbor who is a doctor witnessed Ryan Delaney leaving the house covered in blood and walked with him towards the train station. Ryan told the neighbor that he had been in a fight.  When the doctor noticed Margaret and Raymond Delaney stumble out of the house, he attempted to provide them with medical care.

The neighbor at 15 Howard Place said she witnessed Ryan being pulled out of the train station by EMTs, covered in blood and soot.

UPDATE 11:31 a.m.: Neighbors report that the stabber had a possible history of mental illness.

"He was on medication and drugs, in and out of the hospital," said Christos Bohtis, 61, who lives on the neighboring block and had painted the family's house at 21 Howard Place in the past. Bohtis said that even though the son suffered from mental instability, "he was a nice kid."

Pushpa Patel, the owner of Kruppa Grocery on nearby Prospect Park West, seconded the comments. She noted that he frequently stumbled into her bodega in the middle of the night, with the appearance of being under the influence of drugs.

"He was a nice boy, but I think he was troubled," Patel said.

After stabbing two people on Howard Place in Windsor Terrace, a man ran into the 15th Street-Prospect Park F/G subway station and jumped the tracks, according to a local teacher and police officers at the scene.

The New York Daily News is reporting that the train jumper first fatally stabbed his mother and then slashed his father repeatedly earlier this morning before jumping the tracks.

According to the Daily News, both the stabber and his father are in critical condition. The stabber's mother died at Methodist Hospital.

No names have been released yet.

an MTA station agent confirmed that around 8:30 a.m. a man jumped onto the tracks and was struck by a Queens-bound G train near the Howard Place and Prospect Park West entrance to the tracks.

Police have cordoned off a portion of the subway station, as well as Howard Place between Windsor Place and Prospect Avenue.

Service on both the F and the G has resumed. More details to come.
