Metro PCS Clerk Held at Gunpoint
The suspect was a female matching a description given in similar robberies
The on 836 Washington Avenue, between Lincoln and St. Johns Place, was the target of an armed robbery on Thursday, Dec. 22, according to police reports.
At approximately 6:34 p.m. a female suspect entered the telecommunications store and revealed a firearm. "Give me the money," she ordered the 26-year-old female clerk behind the counter. While keeping the gun trained on the clerk, the suspect stole $1,000 from the register. She then fled north on Washington toward St. John's Place and remains at large.
The description of the suspect is similar to that of a woman who was involved in : a black woman between 18 and 23 years old, standing 5-foot-3 and weighing 110 pounds.

Representatives for Metro PCS declined to comment at press time except to confirm that the victim was not injured during the ordeal, has returned to work, and is doing well.
