Jim Carrey films in Park Slope!

Actor shoots "Mr. Popper's Penguins" on Montgomery Place.

There was a little bit of Hollywood magic on Montgomery Place yesterday.

The street was covered in fake snow as Jim Carrey films Mr. Popper's Penguins, a film based on the similarly named 1938 children's book about a business man who inherits six penguins and transforms his apartment into a winter wonderland.

It appeared that most filming took place inside 17 Montgomery Place, presumably the fictional location of Mr. Popper's apartment. Thus far, there have been no Carrey sightings, though a crew member did confirm Carrey is on set.
