1. You need to find out how Atlantic Yards became the Barclays Center. Head to Fort Greene to see an outdoor showing of Battle for Brooklyn 8:30pm. Fort Greene Park, Corner of DeKalb Ave. and Washington Park. Free. (And bring lots of cold drinks. It's supposed to be hot tonight.)
2. You need to have your voice heard. Head to the Community Board No. 8 Monthly Meeting. It's the last one before the summer break. 7:00pm, 1491 Bedford Ave.
3. You need a night out. Head to the Way Station to see Elisa Flynn. 9 p.m. 683 Washington Ave.
4. You need to get your kids to the library. Today's your day: it's the Summer Reading Kickoff Event at the Central Library including a performance by the Silly Dilly Band, a drum circle led by the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, and selections from the Calpulli Mexican Dance Company. 5. You need to know if your train is running and if you have to move your car. There are no planned subway changes affecting Prospect Heights today, according to the MTA. As for parking, alternate side will be suspended today for Shavuot, according to the NYC DOT.
